So this is my first post! YAY I acualy recieved this question from a friend...
She asked me this- "Why do you think this guy isn't texting me back, even though he said he likes me...?"
GOSH IF I HAD A NICKEL FOR EVERYTIME I ASKED MYSELF THIS, I WOULD BE SO RICH!
I looked around the web a little bit, and talked to my guyfriends, and also just though about it...My answer to this question is this

^^^Thats what i hear all the time...but ladies, let's be honest here...how long does it take you to send 'cant talk right now' or 'hey sorry, but im busy ill try to text you later'....WHAT LIKE 30 SECONDS? I'm sorry but the "hes just busy exuse, i think is rarely true...I think when you "officially like eachother" you are making somewhat of a comitment to eachother, even if its something as simple as "I will flirt with you" haha, this comitment, creates a "NO" sign to "your guy"...saying "no you cannot flirt with other girls" "no you cannot go a whole day without complimenting me" "no you cannot go a day without talking to me..."
He also just might need a break (im not giving him an exuse, because i think its only appropriate that your guy texts you back, at least saying he cant text if nothing else...) but the pressure and constant distraction of texting might be turning him off...sending him 1 text or sending him 6 wont make a difference, that is a promise - K so...You say "but he's always texted me back before we liked eachother" ....OF COURSE! he was trying to win you over, and now that he's won you, ....well he's won! he feels like he doesnt need to try as hard...
Now when i was reading about this topic from multiple sites, it said this "ladies dont worry about it, it means more to you then to him that he hasnt texted back..."
UNTRUE!!!! and i have a short story to back this up
My friend and me started liking eachother about a week ago...he always texted back, but when we started liking eachother he didnt try as hard...well over this weekend he didnt text me back once- and i sent him 6 messages!....TODAY i facebooked him seeing he was online, and he facebooked back, but was being kinda rude, and when i asked him why he didnt text back he goes "busy"....Well about 2 hours ago, he told me he wasnt texting back as much because he had lost interest...THIS WAS NOT A PLAYER TYPE GUY...hes super conservative, and has only had 2 girlfriends (hes 17) ----so long story short...TEXTING does mean something even to guys...
(SHORT ANSWER)
if a guy doesnt text you back (assuming his phone hasnt been taken/shut off/broken) he probably isnt into you anymore, or is loosing interest...if you really like him, start playing kinda hard to get, or spice up the relationship with phone calls, or skype, or even just doing sweet things for him..because if a relationship revolves mostly around texting, he will get bored....FAST!
